Strength. Health. Physique. Confidence.

Sustainable results via a lifestyle you love.

GET STRONG + FUEL YOUR BODY WELL.

Megan Barnes, Strength Coach + Nutritionist

My Approach

Good training doesn’t need to take over your life to get results.

I believe in quality strength training, good technique and steady progression, supported by practical nutrition that fuels your training and supports your health.

Most people I work with want a combination of the same things. They want to get stronger, develop a fit physique, feel confident in what they’re doing and look after their health now and for the future.

You might be completely new to strength training and unsure where to start, or you might already train regularly and want better programming, technique and guidance to take your training further.

Either way, the approach needs to fit you. Your training and nutrition should work with your goals, experience, schedule and real life. I don’t believe in punishing training or restrictive nutrition methods. They’re not necessary, or sustainable. The aim is to build habits you can repeat consistently, because that’s what allows you to make progress over time.

I’ll meet you where you are, give you a clear path forward and support you as you progress.

My Background

I’ve been coaching full time on the gym floor since 2017, with strength training at the centre of what I do.

I have close to 10 years of hands-on coaching experience. Ongoing education has always been an important part of my development as a coach, and for the past four years I’ve continued to develop my knowledge through training, education and mentorship with Sebastian Oreb, Australian Strength Coach.

Strength training is also a big part of my own life. I train and compete in powerlifting at a national level, and being both a coach and an athlete continues to shape the way I approach training and the people I work with.

My own journey hasn’t always looked the way it does now. I’ve been overweight, I’ve taken overly restrictive approaches to nutrition, and I was diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid condition at 35. I understand what it’s like to navigate changes in your body, health and confidence while trying to find an approach that works for you.

Now in my 40s, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. My own experiences are part of why I care so much about helping people build strength, look after their health and make progress without resorting to punishing or restrictive methods.
